Baden James Mellonie

Baden is the co-creater and writer of the critically acclaimed Edge of Extinction, with co-creator and artist Paul Peart-Smith ( JUDGE DREDD, JUDGE HERSHEY SLAUGHTERBOWL, TRACER and HARKE AND BURR, for 2000AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine).
He has previously co-created and written the Trojan Series for Reaper Comics, and has had work published in Zombre for Borderline Press, which was nominated for a British Comic Award (longlist) in 2012. His work has appeared in a variety of other anthology titles in the UK.
Baden also writes Church of Hell for Berserker Comics, with art by the talented Kevin Molen. The first arc will finally be collected in 2018, written by Alan A Grant, with art by Wayne Nicholls, Glenn Fabry and Kevin Molen and featuring covers by Simon Bisley, amongst others. The second arc, written by Baden James Mellonie with art by Kevin Molen will also be released in 2018.
Baden also edited the Artbook Maximum Mayhem, The Art of David Max Millgate, the first dedicated art-book from Sinister Dexter co-creator David Millgate, available now from Eighth Continent Publishing.
Forthcoming work includes Shunned for Eighth Continent Publishing, with art and design by Stephen Sampson, Mayne with artist David Hitchcock, St Andrews Point with artist Steven Austin, Hodgson with artist Kev Crossley, Tusk with David Millgate and The Rejected, a one shot, featuring six scripts written by Baden and featuring art from six 2000AD artists, Steven Austin, David Millgate, David Hitchcock, Karl Richardson, Patrick Goddard and Kev Crossley, (November 2017 release).
October 2017 will see the release of Edge of Extinction issue 2, followed swiftly by The Rejected in November 2017.

The official Paul Peart-Smith biography, abbreviated version. "I was born in London. First mainstream job was a future Shock for 2000AD, worked on DREDD, HERSHEY and SLAUGHTERBOWL, TRACER and HARKE AND BURR. Went on to work for Marvel UK, drawing covers for their reprint titles. Appeared
in two issues of KID ETERNITY for VERTIGO/ DC. Took a break to work in the videogame Industry, designing characters and environments. Came back to comics to
work on the Jackie Chan and Horrible Histories Magazine. Wrote and drew ONE PLUS ONE, a webcomic on Act-I-vate, provided art for BLOOD OF THE HIVE to
appear in HEAVY METAL MAGAZINE. Appeared in NELSON for Blank Slate and a HP Lovecraft anthology for Self Made Hero, Inked Sean Philips for the YOUR HIGHNESS adaptation for Dark Horse. Currently working on the online strip I WANT YOU BACK for Aces Weekly and posting on my own blog new episodes of
a short story called EXCUSE ME and of course, Edge Of Extinction.
